Mission

We are committed to nurture healing and empowerment through accessible, inclusive, and culturally affirming mental health services that honors every individual’s lived experience and centers the needs of marginalized and minority communities.

Vision

We envision a world where mental health care is accessible and equitable—where every individual, especially those from marginalized and BIPOC communities, feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive through compassionate, culturally responsive, and accessible services.

Values in Action

I want you to have a clear sense of my values and what drives my work, so that you can make a decision if working with me is what will be best for you. My approach is grounded in authenticity. Through my own personal work, I’ve learned to show up more authentically — humanity, imperfections, and all — and I bring that same honesty into every session.

I strive to ensure that my actions align with my words. What we work toward together is something I actively model: integrity, presence, and growth. I don’t pretend to have all the answers. Instead, I bring curiosity, a willingness to learn, and deep respect for your lived experience and your own authenticity.

As we get to know your needs, you can expect a balance of compassion and accountability. My intention is to create a collaborative environment where you feel seen, respected, and empowered  to explore, question, and grow.

I also recognize that in doing that my role is to be conscious of my privilege and power dynamics in the therapy room, to ensure that you feel like we are working together at the pace that feels comfortable and sustainable long-term. This is a space where we move forward together–grounded, intentional, and aligned with what matters to you.

Mayra integrates cognitive, behavioral, and somatic approaches while remaining attuned to how culture, identity, and personal history shape emotional experiences.

Her work is grounded in a decolonized framework focused on reconnecting individuals to their ancestral roots, resilience, and existing strengths.

With over ten years of clinical experience, Mayra offers a warm, flexible, and intentional approach to therapy. She specializes in working with disenfranchised grief—grief that often goes unrecognized by society—and creates a space where clients feel seen, supported, and respected throughout their healing process.
